About the Design
Mahākāla is a deity common to Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism. He appears as a protector deity known as a dharmapala in Vajrayana Buddhism. He is known as Dàhēitiān and Daaih'hāktīn (大黑天) in Mandarin. Often depicted as deity in blue skin, three eyes, six arms, armed with a trident, a neckless of skulls, a crescent knife, holding a skull made cup, a drum and a rope of moon and sun.
